What Else Do We Do?
Like most WI’s we have a diverse membership covering a wide range of ages, interests and abilities. We know that we can’t be ‘all things to everyone’ but we hope that by offering a varied range of activities there will something to pique everyone’s interest.
Dulwich WI has several thriving social meet-ups and clubs which are enjoyed by our members, all of which meet once a month at local venues and the Dulwich Constitutional Club.
These are a great way to get to know other members of our WI. Members are welcome to bring along guests to any of these activities, with a view, hopefully, to them finding our WI a good ‘fit’ for them and joining our merry little band.
Please see our individual Club pages for more details and a feel of the individual activities.
We support the National Federation campaigns which have been voted for by our members. Please see our Campaigns page for more details.
At present our members have voted to support the following campaigns:-
- Make Time For Mental Health
- End Plastic Soup
As a WI we fund raise for various local causes, as chosen by our members, and also for our own WI.
All of our members and the various social activities and clubs can be involved in fund raising in one way or another.
For example, at our monthly meetings we always hold a raffle (the prizes for which have been very generously donated by either sponsors or our WI members).
We also have a ‘nibbles’ table, at our meetings, which is always overloaded with cakes and savouries that have been very kindly donated or baked for us by the ladies on our cake rota.
If you’d like to join our ‘cake rota’ please either fill in the form below or have a chat with a committee member at the next WI meeting. We’d be more than happy to add your name to the list.
